Alternatives

AccuLynx alternatives for small contractors

AccuLynx is a roofing-focused platform with quote-only pricing. If you want a published price, a lighter tool, or software that also runs non-roofing jobs, these alternatives are worth a look.

The strongest AccuLynx alternatives for a small roofing or exterior contractor are Roofr if you want measurements and proposals with a free entry plan, JobTread or Projul if you want sales and production with a published price, CompanyCam if photos are the real problem, and Contractor Foreman if you also run general construction jobs. Prices below come from each vendor's own pricing page, checked in October 2026. AccuLynx itself does not publish prices, so any comparison starts with getting its quote.

Who AccuLynx fits

AccuLynx describes itself as an all-in-one platform for roofing businesses, mainly residential insurance restoration and retail roofing, from startups with about three users up to multi-location companies. The feature list is built around how a roofing job actually moves: lead pipeline, aerial measurement data from providers such as EagleView pulled into estimates, live material pricing, proposals, a drag-and-drop production calendar, crew and labor tools, and direct supplier ordering through integrations with ABC Supply, SRS, and QXO. It also lists invoicing, online payments, financing, and reports, with a customer portal and two-way texting sold as optional add-ons.

Those are real strengths. Supplier ordering that shows order status is a big deal when a crew is standing on a tear-off waiting on a ridge vent delivery. AccuLynx says it charges a monthly subscription fee for each license, does not lock customers into contracts, and includes U.S.-based phone support and training at no extra cost.

Why contractors look for AccuLynx alternatives

  • No public price. The pricing page sends you to a request form. Plans and add-ons are listed without dollar amounts, so you cannot budget before a sales call.
  • Per-user math. A per-user fee is fair, but a roofer with two salespeople, a production manager, and an office admin pays for every seat. Small crews often want a flat price or free field users.
  • Roofing focus. If half your revenue is siding, gutters, decks, or small remodels, a roofing-first workflow can feel narrow.
  • More than you need. A two-truck retail roofer may only need measurements, a quote, and an invoice.

7 AccuLynx alternatives and who each fits

1. Roofr

Best for small residential roofers who order lots of measurement reports. Roofr's Starter plan is $0 a month with unlimited users and pay-as-you-go reports at $19 each. Paid plans include Essentials at $249 a month ($209 billed yearly) and Scale at $349 a month ($299 billed yearly), which adds crew management, job costs, and QuickBooks integration. Reports drop to $13 on paid plans. Roofr states there are no setup or onboarding fees. Watch the add-ons: its Instant Estimator, websites, and an AI receptionist are priced separately.

2. JobTread

Best for exterior contractors and remodelers who want estimating, job costing, and production in one place with no plan tiers. JobTread lists $199 a month with one internal user, plus $20 a month for each internal user from 2 to 10, with lower rates above that and 20 percent off on annual plans. Customer, vendor, and sub portal users are free, and so are certain field users who only upload photos or view schedules. No setup fee and no contract.

3. Projul

Best for roofing and remodeling companies that want flat-rate pricing instead of per-user fees. Starter is $199 a month on annual billing for up to 3 users, Core is $399 for up to 10, and Core+ is $599 for up to 20, which adds job costing, progress billing, a client portal, and QuickBooks Online. Monthly billing costs more. Projul says its premium support package is free with annual plans except Starter.

4. CompanyCam

Best when the real gap is job photos, not a full CRM. On annual billing, Core is $63 a month for one user, Crew is $119 with 3 users, and Scale is $249 with 3 users, with extra users at $29 each. Monthly billing costs more. It covers timestamped photos, photo reports, checklists, and on newer tiers proposals and agreements. It is usually run alongside a CRM rather than in place of one.

5. Contractor Foreman

Best for contractors who do roofing plus general construction and want a broad feature set at a low price. Annual plans run from $49 a month for one user to $332 a month for unlimited users, and monthly billing starts at $139 for up to 3 users. Every plan lists projects, daily logs, scheduling, change orders, purchase orders, invoicing, and time cards. It is not roofing-specific, so expect to set up your own measurement workflow.

6. JobNimbus

Best for roofing and exterior companies that want a CRM and job board built around the same trade. Its pricing page blocked our automated check in October 2026, so we are not listing a price. Ask for a written quote that shows the per-user rates by role and any onboarding fee.

7. Jobber

Best for repair-heavy roofers and gutter or exterior service companies with many short jobs. Jobber publishes everything: Core is $29 a month on annual billing for one user, Connect starts at $99, Grow at $149, and Plus at $399 for 5 users, with extra users at $29. Intro discounts apply for the first months. It is built for quoting, scheduling, and invoicing service work, not insurance claims or supplier ordering.

How to pick one

Price your real team, not the headline. Say you run 2 salespeople, a production manager, an office admin, and the owner. On JobTread that is $199 plus four users at $20, or $279 a month before the annual discount. On Projul Core it is $399 flat on annual billing. Then add measurement reports: at 40 roofs a month, the gap between $19 and $13 a report is $240. Ask AccuLynx for its quote on the same five people and the same report volume, and compare the total.

  1. Write down your lead to cash path: inspection, measurement, quote, contract, material order, install, invoice.
  2. Mark which steps hurt today. That is the shortlist filter.
  3. Run one real job through a trial of your top two choices, including the supplier order and the final invoice.
  4. Ask about hidden costs: report fees, payment processing, texting, onboarding, and data export if you leave.

Where Smart Business Automator fits

Smart Business Automator is a newer, general construction platform rather than a roofing CRM. It is priced per user per month (Starter $19, Professional $40, Business $67, Enterprise $100) and covers project tracking, invoicing, subcontractor and shipment tracking, change orders, job costing and WIP views, and AI help with paperwork such as daily log summaries and document data extraction. It does not do aerial measurements, so a roofer would likely pair it with a measurement provider. It fits best for exterior contractors who also take commercial or multi-trade work and want the office side tied together; see construction workflow automation.

Frequently asked questions

Does AccuLynx publish its pricing?

No. When checked in October 2026, its pricing page listed plan options and add-ons without dollar amounts and sent visitors to a request form. AccuLynx says it charges a monthly fee per user with no long-term contract.

What is the cheapest AccuLynx alternative?

Roofr has a $0 Starter plan with unlimited users, but you pay $19 for each measurement report. Jobber's Core plan is $29 a month on annual billing for one user. The cheapest choice depends on your report volume and headcount.

Which AccuLynx alternative is best for insurance restoration work?

Look for claim tracking, supplements, and supplier ordering. JobNimbus and Projul target roofing companies directly. Service tools like Jobber are not built around insurance claims.

Can I move my AccuLynx data to another system?

Ask both vendors before you sign. Request an export of contacts, jobs, documents, and photos, and ask the new vendor whether it offers import help as part of onboarding.
